RED Support

RED for iOS · support for the app

In any emergency, call your local emergency number first. RED is first-aid guidance, not medical care, and it is not a substitute for emergency services or a medical professional. The red call button at the top of the app dials your local emergency number.

What RED is

RED answers first-aid questions in plain words, with numbered steps you can check off. The model that writes the answers runs on your iPhone itself, so RED works with no signal, no wifi, and no account — in airplane mode, on a boat, in a basement. Nothing you type leaves your phone.

Installing, and the big download

RED is about a 2.7 GB download because the entire model ships inside the app — that is what makes it work offline. Use Wi‑Fi. The first time you open RED it sets the model up once, with a progress bar; keep the app open until the bar finishes. Have about 6 GB free before you start; after setup RED takes about 5.6 GB on the phone. RED is iPhone‑only for now.

Common questions

Does it really work offline? Yes. Answers are generated on the device. Try it in airplane mode.

Why did the first open take a while? The one-time model setup. It only happens once; after that RED opens ready.

Where do my questions go? Nowhere. There is no server. See the privacy policy — the short version is that we collect nothing.

Something looks wrong in an answer. Tell us — that is exactly the feedback the beta exists for. Use the email below and include what you asked and what RED answered.

The beta

RED is in public beta through Apple’s TestFlight. Beta builds can be rough; if the app misbehaves, force-quit and reopen it, and if that does not help, delete and reinstall (nothing is lost — RED stores no conversations). The beta join page is redkit.ai/beta.

Reach a person

Support is answered by a person, not a bot. . Include your iPhone model and what happened; screenshots help.
